Sci-fi fan web series 'Anoraks' is running a one-day event in Cardiff on Saturday, December 1st as a backdrop to filming two episodes of their up-coming second series.

While filming will be taking place, the event will be run like a normal convention with panels, signing sessions, coffee breaks, a photo studio, cosplay competition, quizzes and more. Guests for the event include the wonderful Louise Jameson who is without doubt a Doctor Who fan-favourite, the talented author and actor Matthew Waterhouse, and the incomparable actress Sarah Douglas, who you are more likely to see on the massive comicon circuit rather than at an intimate gathering such as our one-day event. We are also pleased to have illustrator and painter Chris Achilléos and former Script Editor for Doctor Who, Andrew Carmel as part of the day's line-up. Chris will be making a special visual presentation as part of his on-stage talk as well as be on hand to sign prints. Former BBC Worldwide producer and director Ed Stradling will also be presenting a look back at his many contributions to the Doctor Who DVD range.

We are also fortunate to have on hand the Head of Publishing for the award-winning Cardiff-based independent book publisher, Candy Jar Books, Shaun Russell along with authors Chris Lynch, Nick Walters and Andy Frankham-Allen from various ranges including the popular Lethbridge-Stewart series.

For information and tickets to the event, please visit www.anorakstv.com and check out our first series of ten episodes!"
