Acclaimed screenwriter and BAFTA winner Bob Baker's career has spanned 50 years. He has written for TV, film and theatre across all genres.
Bristol born and forming a successful writing partnership with David Martin. Bob Baker is remembered for writing memorable episodes of Doctor Who for Tom Baker and John Pertwee. He invented the Time Lords dog companion K-9, which eventually was made under Bob's guidance into a TV series for a new generation. He wrote episodes for the popular programmes Shoestring and Bergerac. Was HTV's script editor for several years. Co-wrote the Wallace and Gromit shorts and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit feature. Won two BAFTA awards. Whilst also writing the cult fantasy TV series Sky, King of the Castle, Into the Labyrinth and the television features Thick As Thieves and Machinegunnner, which both starred Leonard Rossiter.
